Concentrated and intense aromas of rich, dark fruitcake, ripe plums, spice, chocolate and sun baked earth. Mouth-filing and lush, with a complexity of flavours that glide across the palate like liquid velvet.  The finesse of the melting tannins and a gentle acidity balance the richness of texture and give a lingering, elegant, flavourful finish.

This wine is testament to the wonderful 2013 growing season where Hawkes Bay Merlot came into its own to give complex, rich, yet refreshing wines that will give enjoyment both in their youth and after careful cellar ageing
